The attention to detail at this house with regards to any thing you could possibly need to make your stay more comfortable, was just amazing and I believe this is a direct reflection on the host, Melanie, who was also amazing. We used this property for a work trip and my colleagues and I very much enjoyed the serenity of the home. We swam in Lake Michigan, watched the hummingbirds, enjoyed breakfast at the dining table with a lake view every morning and got great sleep every night. Couldn’t ask for more. The host, went above and beyond to help us when Mother Nature threw us a curve ball our last night. A storm blew threw and knocked down over 80 extremely large trees across the road, over the span of about 200 yards, making it impossible for us to get out with our rental car. In addition, there was no electric or water. She walked in and took us to get breakfast. We opted to go back to the house to rest until later she came back and helped us hike out our luggage. From there she drove us to another vehicle we had left parked somewhere else (thankfully). Our rental car had to stay at the property until the road was clear, which took 4 days. Melanie agreed to get the rental car back to the airport for us so we didn’t have to further delay our 30 hour roadtrip home. And she did; all the while staying in communication with me. So thankful to her. When we visit this area again, I hope we can be lucky enough to stay here.
